My second piece for the upcoming Look.Cover.Draw.Check blog Andy Warhol exhibition.

Made this birthday card for Jana who I love to death. I hope she had awesome fun times.

Last Sunday I took Garage Studios Holga & Diana Camera Workshop lead by James Kendal. Both James’ enthusiasm for photography and his understanding of the cameras functions and quirks made for an excellent learning experience. I highly recommend taking the course (any course at Garage Studios tbh), buying a Holga camera (I got mine the day before) and shooting some film (these shots are the first in many years). Thanks again to the excellent Garage Studios, James Kendal and everyone on the course.

Illustration for the Unstruck blog: “What is the Big Society? – It appears to be a vaguely defined metaphor for some kind of hope in the darkness. An adaptable lie to give people an opportunity to justify the destruction of the public sector as a positive step for community growth.”

Outstanding local poet, author and eccentric – Chris Parkinson is indeed a man of mystery and illusion. Be it his countless profiles or that darned ‘tulip touch’, our guards should never be down. Do make sure you see him read poetry and if you can stand the chaos and heckling then attend Glue Gun 91 his monthly swaray. Say hi to Chris on Twitter but don’t believe a god dam word.

Couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of lighting and shooting the above video for Laurence Dean of http://fokkawolfe.blogspot.com/ fame at studio Ping Pong. You can see some behind the scenes photos from the shoot here. Making the video was a great learning experience and best of all it was great working with everyone involved. If you would like help lighting or shooting a video then drop me and email at andyjamesnelson at googmail dot com.
